Children are an important part of Monument Hill Church. We value your child's Christian education and consider ourselves teachers rather than childcare workers. Our commitment to each child is to use each of our children's activities as an opportunity to develop their relationship with Jesus Christ. We offer a variety of children's programs where young people will have an opportunity to learn about their faith through a variety of different teaching methods and social situations.
What does a typical Sunday morning look like in the Backyard? Here is the schedule we follow each Sunday:
9:00-10:05 Faithweaver Sunday school
The Sunday school leaders will begin our morning with a Biblical concept. Each week children will explore Bible stories and learn amazing Bible facts.
The Sandbox ages 3-5 (Kinder)
The Playground First Grade-Second Grade
The Fishin’ hole Third-Fourth Grade
The Tree house Fifth- Sixth Grade
10:05-10:30 The Lemonade Stand:
To help in the transition time between Sunday school and Children’s Worship hour we will provide our children with a small, usually healthy snack designed to reinforce the Bible concept even further. We are very aware of allergies and strive to have a snack time where all feel included.
10:30-10:50 The Sanctuary:
Worship: Let’s Praise God
The children will join the adults for worship and praise! Our goal is to teach kids how to worship our amazing God through music, drama, creative stories, puppetry, and other creative ways. We will teach our children through modeling and instruction.
10:50 until you come back to get them
The Back porch:
Kids Own Worship: Let’s learn the Point
During the remainder of the Worship hour we will explore the bible point through small group and large group activities. Each lesson will end with a group prayer activity.
The Sandbox Preschool
Preschool age children (3-K) hang out in the Sandbox on Sunday mornings and join the older kids for snack and worship time. They are taught lessons from the Bible. Our preschool staff uses a variety of methods to reinforce the practical application of each lesson. Children enjoy Biblically focused crafts and games to learn more about their faith and its application to their lives.
