Our special guests are missionaries, Blaine & Kris, who serve in North Africa Middle East with the International Mission Board. Genesis Church from Castle Rock will be joining us to share worship and baptisms with us. After our Worship Service, Don's Mexican Fiesta will be served in the Fellowship Hall. This will be a taco feast with all the trimmings! A donation will be accepted to fund the Youth Mission Trip in June 2010, to South Dakota. Plan to join us on this very special day! |

Red Cross, Shelter Ops Volunteer Training

MHC
is one of five approved emergency shelters in the Tri Lakes Area. The
Pikes Peak Chapter American Red Cross Disaster Services is offering a
training class on Saturday, Aug. 8th in order to train volunteers in
how to operate an emergency shelter.
If you're interesting in being one of the volunteers in order to
minister to people in need during an emergency, be sure to register for
this free class! Note that you will need to complete the American Red
Cross volunteer application during the training and undergo a
background check.
Registration is required. Email cdvtraining@pparc.org and indicate registration is for the Shelter Ops/Simulation on August 8, 2009.

Worship in the Pines will be on Sunday, July 19th, at 10:30 a.m. We
will have our worship service in the Ponderosa Baptist Camp Pavilion.
After our service we will be serving barbecued meat sandwiches. Please
bring side dishes to go with the sandwiches - chips, dips, salads,
fruits and desserts.
Please let us know if your family will be attending and how many we should plan on feeding.
This is always a great time of fellowship. We will be playing some
family games - balloon toss, three legged races, etc. There will be
prizes for the winners!
There will not be Sunday School on July 19th.
